REQUIREMENTS: 2. A piece of activity is defined as follows: Any post to [community profile] thewake your character originates, provided you made an effort to reply to responses. Participation in any log on [community profile] thewakelogs. Two pieces of activity may be a comment thread in a network post not originated by you. In that thread, your character is responsible for at least 12 responses. Chains of reaction comments (the ones labeled 1/2, 2/4, etc.) count as one response. That piece of activity may also be made up of two separate threads in which your character contributes a minimum of 6 comments. 3. In particular, there are a few things that do not qualify as activity: Logs with your character's name on them, that you never actually posted to (e.g. the log was dropped before your intended entrance). Any activity that takes place on a post that is not dated from the month the check applies to. For example, if a log went up the previous month and you're still replying to it a month later, that cannot be used. You also cannot post something on September 2nd and use that, even though the check is still in progress. All activity must be on posts dated in the month prior to the AC's posting. 4. Characters are exempt if they were accepted during the most recent app cycle, but you will be required to meet AC in the next month (you cannot use hiatus to avoid an AC the month after acceptance). If you took a hiatus in this month that lasted for two weeks or longer, you will also be exempt from the AC. Hiatuses must have been posted to the hiatus post for us to count them. 5. Remember, if you are exempted for a hiatus in one month, you must meet the AC in the following month. 6. In the event of serious extenuating circumstances, please contact the mods so we can discuss it. 7. In the event that a character has failed an activity check after a period of consistent activity, a save can be requested for that character. The save is to be requested on a post to the activity check made while the activity check remains open. Saves are not meant to replace regular activity and hiatuses and should only be used sparingly. Furthermore, the following restrictions apply: 1) Saves cannot be used the month after a hiatus or the month after acceptance. That Activity Check must be met. 2) The month after a character is saved, the Activity Check must be met for that character with one extra piece of activity to compensate for the missed activity from the previous month. That Activity Check may not be missed due to hiatus. 3) Ascended status can only be saved once every six months with an Ascension Save. 4) Overuse of saves may result in a character's removal from the game. The mods will contact a player if this becomes an issue. 8. Activity check runs until 3pm PST on the 4th. Please reply before that time.
