Full Name:Captain Steven Grant Rogers
Called By:Captain America, Cap, Steve
Age: (physically and mentally if necessary) physically he is 95, but mentally between 27
Canon:MCUCaptain America, Steve Rogers

History: Steve “Cap” Rogers

Personality: Steve Rogers, some would say has two personalities, much like his friends. There is Steve Rogers, scrawny kid from Brooklyn, NY, and then there is Captain America super soldier. Steve is just kind of figuring out who he is in this time. Steve is the people pleaser. He always wants to do good, and what is right. He spent his childhood, and most of his young adulthood trying to be the best person that he could be, almost to the exclusion of everything else. Steve Rogers is an optimist. He always wants to believe the best in people, and strives to do the right thing.

He is loyal almost to a fault. Once he befriends you, it is a bond that never breaks. His longest friendship has lasted over 70 years. Steve thinks nothing about diving into perilous situations, with no thought to his personal consequences. The only thing that Steve ever wanted to do was help people.

Steve fundamentally changed after he landed in the water, who wouldn’t? Steve suddenly wasn’t the scrawny little kid from New York. He was like a fish out of water. Captain America is the hero that everyone needs to believe in, so that is what Steve is able to give to them. Captain America is a vessel to right the wrongs in the world, and some days it isn’t a role that Steve relishes. He has some difficulty correlating his 1940’s mentality with the social norms of the modern world. He struggles with what he knows is right, and what is doable within the social norms of the 21st century.

He still believes in doing the right thing, and he is honest to a fault, much to the chagrin of those around him. He can be stubborn, and when he first woke up, he often clashed with his teammates he tried to make sense of what was, with what actually was.

It can still be a struggle. The one positive is that he isn’t a stranger to being thrust into a new situation, and a new time. He will deal with being on the Station, just like he has with everything else, with quiet strength and determination. He will work to help the people here, and adapt.

Powers: Super Soldier
Special Skills: Artist
Anything else?: Steve Rogers doesn't really have any powers or abilities just by himself, other than being a quick thinker, a great artist, and fast on his feet. Captain America, while he has no super human abilities, his senses, strength, and agility are heightened to the maximum of human capacity due to the super serum that is flowing through his veins. The serum increases his metabolism, and decreases fatigue, so he has great endurance as well.

The great thing about the serum is that it keeps manufacturing itself in Steve's system, so while he can get hurt, his healing time is a lot faster. It also takes a lot to actually hurt him. He is not indestructible however, just really difficult to kill.

Steve's experiences in battle make him and expert tactician, and field commander. He is often deferred to to make judgement calls in the field on behalf of the team. It is something that he excels at. His ability to use his shield, also makes him a master in hand to hand combat. He has the ability to strike multiple combatants with a single throw. He also has the ability to maintain a somewhat high profile, while getting along with everyone.

Writing Samples:
Action Tag Sample: Test Drive
Third Person Prose Sample: Steve was fairly certain that he was prepared to die. He had called home, and spoken with Peggy. Even though he knew that he would never make their date, at least that he could die knowing that there was someone in the world that would miss him. That gave Steve comfort as the nose of the plane breached the ocean, and he sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

The din of the noise of the city is what first broke through Steve’s conscience. Something about the situation felt off however. The noises didn’t seem right, and Steve was left with a feeling of being completely and utterly alone.

He sat up with a start, wondering where in the world he was. Something felt off to Steve, but he couldn’t quite place what it was. He had been in this place for a long time, but things somehow managed to seem the same. It was truly confusing to Steve. He did the only thing that he could think of to do to release the tension that was building. He started to scream.
